Measuring & Installing

What are the min & max measurements I can have?

We have our maximum measurements loaded into the Quote Tool and if your blind falls outside of this we recommend that you split the blind in two that are side by side. Please keep in mind that large blinds can get heavy and wear on the componentry the bigger they are.

In some instances will can manufacture the blinds at larger sizes but we don’t recommend it. It will also mean that the componentry will last a lot longer as it doesn’t have such a weight on it.

Here’s a breakdown below:

Aluminium 25mm: 500mm (width) x 500mm (drop) up to 3000mm (width) x 3000mm (drop)
Roller blinds: From 500mm (width) to 3100mm (width) and from 500mm (drop) to 3000mm (drop)
Timber Venetians: 500mm (width) x 500mm (drop) up to 2700mm (width) x 2500mm (drop)
Faux Venetians: 500mm (width) x 500mm (drop) up to 2500mm (width) x 2000mm (drop)

Note: All of our blinds are custom made and there are exceptions for these rules, contact us if you have any questions.

What if I give you the incorrect measurements, can you fix it?

We don’t take any transactions through the website so when a quote is submitted we will come back to you with a formal quote based on the measurements you’ve provided us for checking. This step helps us to catch any typos before production, however, if the order is place and manufactured unfortunately this will make it hard rectify and will likely need to be remade.

Can I change the date of installation?

Yes of course you can! If you would like to change any appointment date within 24 hours of the current time please call us on 0800 483 638.

I live outside of your catchment areas, can I still arrange a consultation with a sales rep?

Unfortunately there are some areas of the country are aren’t able to service. We can look to arrange travel to wide regions but this would incur a fee. The areas that we cover currently is Auckland, majority of North Waikato, BOP, Coromandel & Queenstown Lakes District.

Who will install my blind?

If you have a consultation arrange with one of our sales reps then that same rep will follow you through the whole process and install them for you.

Product Questions

My window up high out of my reach, can I have longer controls cords to operate the blind?

Yes, of course! Just let us know how long you would like the controls to be when you’re submitting a quote.

Which is better Faux or Poplar for Venetians?

See our video below detailing the differences between our Faux Wood (PVC) and Poplar Wood.

What is the difference between reverse roll and regular roll?

Reverse Roll: This our most common roll and is described as ‘The Waterfall Effect’ – this roll is perfect for any style of window and the blind rolls away from the glass leaving a gap between the fabric and the window so it won’t knock on any protruding handles or latches. It also looks the most seamless.

Regular Roll: This where the fabric rolls back towards the glass or if mounted on the outside of the window frame it creates a tighter fit with less of a gap between the fabric. This roll will show through the componentry & tube when looking straight on at the Blind.

Would you recommend Blockout Blinds on all window?

Not necessarily, Blockout blinds are great for making spaces dark and for privacy but we also have 2 other types of fabric that might suit better.

View the below video helping you decide if you should go with a Blockout.

What different types of motorisation do you have for roller blinds?
