Clean and repair

If you're looking to sell your home, bach or apartment and get the best price it deserves, our blinds will help achieve this. Equally, if you've just bought or moved into somewhere new, it's amazing how blinds can lift the look and feel of your home, adding considerable value. Here are some other great ideas.

First impressions count
The letterbox, driveway, garden and outside of the house should all be neat, tidy and presentable. Because when it comes to buying, selling and moving house, that first impression is what really matters.

Smell is important
Fill the room with subtle fragrances. A bowl of lemons, mint or basil in the kitchen will do the trick. Avoid artificial smells. Use lavender spray on bed linen.

Get some sounds
Try soft music or consider a moving water feature. Anything to avoid the noisy kitchen appliances.

You can always hire
Hiring items is affordable and makes your home more marketable. Hire art, furnishings and plants to attract that potential buyer.

Bathroom and kitchen are vital
Once inside, the bathroom, kitchen and living space are key areas buyers and possible tenants are most interested in. Try to choose neutral colours, so you can appeal to the widest section of people.

Blinds create the mood
Blinds, along with carpets, wallpaper, paint and tiles goes a long way towards creating the right mood and feel of a home. Depending on the time of year and when potential buyers and renters are viewing your property, blinds can reduce the glare in your room and also keep the heat in on a cold winter day. They can also add much needed privacy.

Window treatments should reflect the style
You need to have the style of the room reflected in the window treatments. Ensure integration of colour, texture and finish.

Let in the natural light
Daylight is the key to creating a feeling of space, so make the most of light by opting for blinds instead of curtains. Blinds pull completely out of the way during the day, so they won't block any of the available natural light.

Cover skylights with blinds
If it gets too hot in a room, you can easily and stylishly cover skylights to allow an even room temperature.

Wooden Blinds

It's a good idea to regularly feather dust both sides of the blinds. We can provide an excellent product called Sprayglow, which is perfect for cleaning and enhancing these particular blinds. It's also important to remember that your blinds should be open before they are raised.

Aluminium Venetian Blinds

Again, it's important that you regularly feather dust both sides of the blinds and make sure to open them before they're raised. It's also a good idea to spray the tilter with CRC once a year to avoid stiffening and squeaking.

Holland Blinds (Focus, Glimmer Solashadow)

Sponge the surface down with a damp cloth, using mild, soapy water.

Faux Wood

During the year, the blinds should be cleaned with warm, soapy water or dishwasher detergent and then dried with a towel.
