Q. What are the minimum/maximum measurements I can have?
A. Please keep in mind that blinds can get heavy and wear on the componentry the bigger they are. We have our maximum measurements loaded into the Quote Tool and if your blind falls outside of this we recommend that you split the blind in two and we create one pelmet that sits across the front of the blind. In some instances will can manufacture the blinds at larger sizes but we don't recommend it. The one pelmet solution still looks stylish and it gives you added control over the light in the room. It will also mean that the componentry will last a lot longer as it doesn't have such a weight on it.
- Aluminium 25mm: 500mm (width) x 500mm (drop) up to 3000mm (width) x 3000mm (drop)
- Aluminium 50mm: 600mm (width) x 600mm (drop) up to 2800mm (width) x 2700mm (drop)
- Cedar Blinds: We can go up to 2400mm in width or up to 3000mm in drop (please put your specific measurements in the quote tool as not all measurements in between are recommended)
- Holland Blinds: from 600mm (width) to 3100mm (width) and from 900mm (drop) to 3000mm (drop) (again please put your specific measurements in the quote tool as not all measurements in between are recommended)
Q. Do the blinds come with a guarantee?
A. Yes, a 3 year guarantee comes as standard with all our new blinds.
Q. How do I keep them clean?
A. Different blinds have different requirements. We recommend that you get your blinds cleaned once every year by professionals: Click here to see when we're in your area (Auckland only). Click here to read our tips to help you keep them as clean as possible throughout the year.
Q. Can I have the blinds fitted?
A. If you're in the Auckland region and would like your blinds fitted, we can do them for you. If you’re out of the Auckland region we will put you in touch with our local agents. We supply Homeplus stores nationwide and also work with interior designers and other home stores so there will be someone near you that can help out.
Q. Is the price the quote tool gives me the final price?
A. Not necessarily. Once you submit your order we will call you and negotiate the final price based on volume of blinds and on the service package you opt for (DIY or full service).
Q. What is the process for manufacturing these blinds?
A. We have had a lot of experience in selling blinds online and really can guide you through the whole process end to end. We offer two different service options - DIY and full service. If you opt for DIY we can offer you an additional discount (that will be confirmed with your order) or we can measure and fit the blinds for the price quoted (Auckland only).
- See the Measurement Guide and follow the instructions to measure up for your blinds. Please note: As stressed on the guide it is extremely important that we get the wood-to-wood measurement from you to enable us to make the necessary adjustments for a perfect fit in your window frame.
- Enter your measurements into our Quote Tool to get a price and submit the order to us if you are happy to proceed. We have two service options - DIY or we can measure and fit, the quote tool will give you a rough indication of price and we can offer further discounts if you opt to doing the measuring and fitting yourself. Our blinds are extremely competitive as we manufacture them on the premisis so we want to be transparent with you and give you enough information to make an informed decision about which blinds to choose. Don't forget all our blinds are made-to-measure (we don't do any cutting down) and come with a 3 year guarantee.
- After you submit the quote we will call you to confirm the price based on the service option you choose and we'll also send you a colour sample in the post to confirm that the colour is how you imagined it when you saw it online.
- Once you are happy with the colour and have deposited the money in our account or sent us a cheque, we will begin manufacturing the blinds. This will take up to 7 working days and the blinds will either be dispatched via courier (at an additional cost), you can come and pick them up from our factory in Mt. Roskill or we will deliver them to you.
- You receive the blinds with Fitting Instructions detailing everything you need to install your new blinds... and that's it!
Q. What if I mess up the measurements?
A. We will do our best to fix them. We have a lot of experience in-house and will try to sort it out for you (we want our blinds to look their best too!). We can shave millimetres of the side and reduce the blinds in length if necessary to make them fit.
Q. How long does it take to manufacture the blinds?
A. Up to 10 working days.
Q. Can I order the blinds and have them delivered at a later date?
A. Yes you can. You need to pay us when the order is confirmed and we are happy to hold them at our factory until you are ready for them to be despatched.
